1. Membership Responsibilities

By joining BSSA, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and up-to-date personal information

  • Use your account in accordance with our Constitution and policies

  • Respect other members at events and in communications

2. Membership Fees

  • Individual membership is $75/year as of 1 July 2025

  • This price includes all processing fees (e.g. Stripe charges)

  • Family membership remains at $100/year, with no change as of 1 July 2025

  • The $75 price is effective immediately for new payments

  • If your renewal period began before 1 July 2025 but you paid $75, BSSA will refund you $10

3. Payment Methods

  • Preferred: Stripe (credit/debit card) — secure and automated

  • Also accepted: EFT, Square (Visa/Mastercard), or cash

  • Non-Stripe methods may delay processing due to manual handling

4. Event Bookings (e.g. Field Days)

  • No upfront payment is required to book

  • You pay at the event using cash or Square (Visa/Mastercard)

  • If the event is cancelled (e.g. weather), no payment is required and no refund or credit applies

5. Refund Policy

  • Membership fees are non-refundable, unless required by law

  • Field day/event bookings are pay-on-attendance, so no refund/credit handling is required

6. Data & Privacy

By becoming a member, you consent to our Privacy Policy.
You may optionally choose to share home or apiary addresses to support swarm collection, advocacy, and communication. These will only be shared internally with your permission.

7. Changes to Terms

These Terms and our Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be posted on our website and notified via email where appropriate.
