The BSSA is a friendly group of recreational and micro beekeepers who meet regularly to share our knowledge and experience;
develop our beekeeping skills, and have fun!

The BSSA is dedicated to advancing the education of the public in the importance of bees in the environment.

MEETINGS

Occur on the second Monday of each month, including public holidays, at Burnside Community Centre. General meeting starts 7.30 pm.

Recordings of our meetings will be available to members on the previous meetings page a week or so afterwards.

Beginner & intermediate classes starts at 6.30 pm. Bookings are essential. Visit our classes page for information and booking.

EVENTS

In addition to monthly meetings, we run regular practical field days for those that want to get hands-on experience in a hive.

We also organise excursions guided by local experts, and attend public events such as the Royal Adelaide Show and Sophie's Patch open garden
